It is always a blessing when the community of believers makes serious commitment to follow Christ, to discover his Love and to know Him truly in their hearts. Those who open doors of their hearts and self, are exposing themselves to greater love and witnessing. Those same people are stating that trusting the Lord with their life they surrender to Master who is: “The way, the truth, and the life:” John 14:6 and that He is the only way.

Following Him we may realized at certain point, that His assurance to us in John 14:4 telling us that we already know His way, require always a bit more because closer we get to Him more we long for Him and even more we need Him.

As disciples we always look for the true Shepherd. This is why Jesus Christ had to simply confirm with Peter his belief in the Lord asking him “Do you love me” John 21:17. Peter’s honest respond and true commitment to Christ’s Church let our Lord to say this incredible, daring and life giving invitation “Follow me! ”John 21:19

In the spirit of Pentecost the fulfillment of the Promise, I support you Father Daniel and your Community of Our Lady of the Assumption in your courage’s Mission Statement and ways to Evangelize people of God in Iqaluit with unconditional support as your Mission Statement confirms.

As a Christian community you take seriously mandate and the will of our Lord to “Go,… and make disciples of all nations”.

As your bishop I am very proud of you and your community of sisters and brothers in Christ as you journey through the Resurrection of your own lives toward the Promised Land reaching others at the same time. May the love you share on that journey, gives you courage, compassion, and strong faith keeping your hearts tender to the needs of the poor, compassionate to the cry of the afflicted, sensitive to the oppressed and most abandoned that we find in God’s Arctic.

I give you my Blessing and assure you of my continues prayers in the Presence of our Lord.

Thank you,

May God reaches hearts of many through the love you share among each another,
